1965 Mustang GT Convertible - Rangoon Red exterior with White on White Pony Interior and White Convertible top. Concourse show winner since its restoration at the Mustang Mart in Arizona in 1995. I sold this car earlier in 2001 to make room for a '59 Mercedes 220S Convertible that needs restoring.
The car has a 3 speed “Cruise-o-matic” automatic transmission driving an “A-code” 289 CI V-8 rated at 225 horsepower. GT package mechanical features include: special handling package, front disc brakes, styled steel wheels, fog lamps and dual exhausts with chromed “trumpets” that exit through the rear valance. Mechanical upgrades include Edelbrock intake manifold and carburetor, Cobra engine dress-up kit and dual-reservoir master brake cylinder.
Interior amenities include: White on white Pony interior, White power convertible top, wood-grained steering wheel, 5-dial instrument cluster, Rally Pac, wood-grained center console and door pulls and Air Conditioning.
